Hi All,

The 2017 WIQP is a little more than a month away.  The WIQP Team has been
busy getting the webpage updated and ready to go for this year's March 12th
QSO Party.  Check it out at https://www.warac.org/wqp/wqp.htm

The website has all the usual WIQP assists, freshened up for 2017.  For
those planning a mobile, rover or portable operation, don't miss the Activate
All 72! <https://www.warac.org/wqp/activate.htm> link.  You can get a
detailed look at county activations/results for the past several years.

Highlights of rule changes for 2017:

   - *Bonus Station:*  The West Allis Club Station, *W9FK*, will be on the
   air throughout the contest.  Each contact is worth 100 Bonus Points per
   band, per mode.


   - *Log Submittal Deadline: * The period for submitting logs has been
   significantly shorted to two weeks, which means *all logs must be
   received by March 27th*.  With most logs being computer generated these
   days, getting the logs into the system early should result in being able to
   generate results much quicker.  At least that's the goal.


   - *More on Logs*:  Also, note that we will no longer accept printed
   copies of computer generated logs.  So if you are logging on a computer,
   please submit them electronically.  Though our preference is the Cabrillo
   format, send us what you've got.


   - *Club Competition*:  The rules have been clarified regarding the Club
   Competition category

the contest.
