[WIQPmail] WIQP-Mail Digest, Vol 59, Issue 1

The WARAC does a great job on facilitation of the WQP.  This year's results posting had very quick turn around time.
I do not envy team managing and making decisions to gather inputs and try to accommodate everyone.  The rhetorical question of how many categories does it make sense for a QSO party of this size before it becomes too many.  Ie.  Does it make sense to split only SOF CW and SSB?  What about the categories regarding mode and splitting?  If wanting to score more points, maybe add CW skills to the arsenal to even the playing ground?  One could extend splitting categories to the use of SO2R....kudo's to the guys that have that figured out, but my guess it's likely none of the SO1R operators can complete.  Not sure where it stops in how many categories to split into or if "can't beat them, join them applies".

Not sure who to ask, so can I throw this out here....

Can I sponsor a plaque going forward for top DX station?

There are a couple dx stations I know of that are always big supporters
of WQP who are trying to obtain plaques from every state qso party, and
we have never had one.

Thanks for your consideration.
