No,...not the Indy 500--*the Indiana QSO Party*!!! For 12 hours </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">beginning 1500Z on May 4, Indiana ops are in demand by ham radio </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">operators around the world. It is hoped to have participants in all 92 </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">Indiana counties on the air again this year--a real challenge to make </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">contact with them all and make progress toward the Worked All Indiana </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">Counties award.</font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3"></font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><b><font size="3">For full info about the Indiana QSO Party, check out the INQP webpage at </font></b><br></div><div dir="ltr"><b><font size="3">www.hdxcc.org/inqp <<a href="http://www.hdxcc.org/inqp" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.hdxcc.org/inqp</a>>. The website also holds a lot of other info, like rules for INQP, </font></b><br></div><div dir="ltr"><b><font size="3">operating tips, and links to special awards like the Worked All Indiana </font></b><br></div><div dir="ltr"><b><font size="3">Counties award.</font></b><br></div><div dir="ltr"><b></b><font size="3"></font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">Participants can compete for one of 17 plaques for individual or group </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">accomplishments including club competition. And there are LOTS of </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">certificates issued to participants. Club competition is very popular, </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">with 12 clubs entering in 2018. Winner was the Northwest Indiana DX </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">Club with seven logs submitted. They need other clubs to push them this </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">year!</font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3"></font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">Besides operating from home, those living in or near Indiana can go </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">mobile or set up bigger (and higher--or lower) antennas as a rover or </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">portable. The top ten "rare" counties are: Spencer, </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">Pike, Jefferson, Crawford, Floyd, Martin, Dubios, Union, Kosciusko, and </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">Orange.</font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3"></font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">Whatever your operating preference, please get on the air Saturday May </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">4-5 for a fun time. And if you want to operate the three other QSO </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">parties that day, check out N1MMLogger and the INQP website so you can </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">log all the QSOs in one log and submit it to multiple contests. Use the </font><br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="3">5-digit county identifiers on the INQP website.
