A frigid Ground Hog day didn't seem to slow down the Minnesota QSO Party.
Some pretty hardy mobilers out there in below-zero temps. Great job! Good
signals! Great fun! I sure hope it's warmer in Wisconsin on March 10.
WIQP is only a month away!. Here are some items of interest...
If you haven't done so, see Activate All 72! on the WIQP web page
(http://www.warac.org/wqp/wqp.htm). The table there shows the number of
fixed and mobile stations in each county based on 2011 data. Mobiles did a
great job of activating counties that year but eight counties were not
activated at all.
Planned Mobile Routes for 2013 will be published soon on the WIQP web page
and will be updated as more information comes in. Make your mobile route
postings here on the reflector or on the County Hunters website.
The program at next Tuesday's WARAC club meeting will be Mobile CW by Pat,
WW9R. Visitors welcome! See http://www.warac.org/ for time, location, etc.
The popular N3FJP logging program for WIQP has been updated with the release
of version 2.0. See the WIQP web page Logging Software for upgrade info,
operation tips and a list of changes. Another addition to the Logging
Software section is N1MM Tips. Since this program handles many contests, it's
a bit more difficult to make the proper setup selections, so these tips
should add clarity.
Please note: the email address for submitting logs will be
wiqp-logs at warac.org.
