Yes, 146.55 and yes, all in the same log.  There's a list of recommended VHF freqs on the WIQP web page.  Just avoid the National Calling Frequencies.  And , of course, if someone else (your driver?) operates the VHF radio(s), you're now in multi- territory.

FWIW, there is a fair amount of VHF activity.  For the last several years there has been a group of  Tech mobiles that drive around Lake Winnebago, working each other in each county on several bands, plus locals.  They rack up quite a few Q's.  It would be great to see this elsewhere - Milwaukee?  Madison?

  What 2m FM simplex freq is typically used by others in the WiQP, is it 146.55 ?   

  The WiQP rules seem to allow VHF contacts to be a part of a "HF" log (unlike some other state QSO parties that separate HF and VHF).  It never even occurred to me to try 2m FM simplex ... duh.  Might pick up a local county multiplier or two.
