[WIQPmail] How'd it go?

I went up to Washburn Co. and operated fixed with my XYL, W9WJM. Did well
on 10m and 40m. 20m was very crowded and difficult to find a clean
frequency and hold it for very long.

Lots of other 9s in southern part of the state (Dane & Milwaukee) that I
couldn't hear on 20m, but that East Coast stations were telling me both of
us were within 1/2 a kHz of each other and they could hear both of us.
Found better luck on 10m, some 15m, and lots of good in-state and regional
contacts on 40m.

Still a lot of fun even though we only got to work 4.5 hours of the contest
and had to leave for home in Dane County at 5:30PM.

Good experience for my wife who got her license last year. She did pretty
well handling the "pileups" for Washburn in her first real contest.
