In case you are looking for a neat, inexpensive, 90-foot super duty tower ---- 
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is disposing of all of their former fire lookout towers mainly in northern areas of Wisconsin.  Below is information on the latest towers being offer for sale to the highest online bidders. 
Great way to relocated your shack to the top of your tower and save all that expensive hard line coax!!  Just a short climb up the 90 foot tower to your shack.  Neat!!
Check this out -- use the link below -- currently there are actually two different towers being sold in the far north east part of Wisconsin, north of Green Bay --  these towers are to be removed!  
NOTE that WD9BGA DID buy one of these towers some years back, took it down piece-by-piece, and moved it to his QTH and reassembled it, tower top shack and all!!

| Fire Tower to be Removed
- ADDRESS: Tower Line Rd., Pembine, WI 54156
- DESCRIPTION: Approximately 90 foot tall steel forest fire detection tower built in 1940 including cab with steel roof. Base of steel tower is approx. 20 ft x 20 ft. on concrete footings. Cab is accessed via ladder encased in a cage. For salvage/removal from site. Asbestos Report
- ACCESS: Goodman Tower is about .2 miles east of Tower Road across from N18003 Tower Road. Road conditions may limit the timeframe of access by equipment into the tower site. If conditions deteriorate to an unacceptable amount as determined by the Department and Goodman Forest, LLC, the work will cease until such time road conditions improve. 
- FINAL SITE CONDITION: The access road and tower site will be restored to pre-project conditions. Concrete footings for the tower will be removed 2 feet below ground level with resulting holes backfilled. Tear down of structure and moving and transporting of materials will be done by the successful bidder within 90 days of the winning bid date. 
- REMOVAL DEADLINE: July 27, 2017 - 90 days after confirmation of successful winning bid. Work beyond this timeframe may be approved in writing only if agreed to by both the Department and the landowner. 
 - REQUIREMENTS: $1000.00 performance bond. Liability Insurance: The winning bidder shall provide liability insurance to be effective prior to removal of the tower in the amount of $1,000,000 single limit per occurrence including coverage of $1,000,000 for bodily and personal injury and $100,000 for property damage so that the private landowner will be protected from any liability arising out of the removal of said tower by the winning bidder. This policy shall also include additional named insured parties, specifically, 1) the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and its employees; and 2.) Marinette County Department of Forestry and its employees. The winning bidder shall furnish the DNR with a certificate of insurance listing the additional insureds prior to commencing work. Independent contractor to be readily equipped with tools and equipment, including personal protective equipment, to safely remove steel structure fire tower and restore site. Contractor must meet terms and conditions as specified in awarded bid agreement. 
 - TERMS: The access road and tower site will be restored to pre-project conditions. Any road improvements are the responsibility of the contractor including but not limited to grading, filling, and brushing. Some cutting of trees and brush, as agreed to with Department and property owner permission, to facilitate removal of the fire tower, may be allowed. All debris and solid waste caused or generated by the removal of the structure shall be disposed of in a manner that is satisfactory to the Department and landowner. Trees and brush or other forest products, including firewood, NOT included unless approved in writing by the landowner. 
 - CONDITION: AS IS – TO BE REMOVED - The cab interior and floor are sun bleached but sound. 1st ladder rung is bent.
